Role Overview

The Technical Business Analyst supports the delivery of complex IT initiatives by translating business requirements into clear, structured, and testable technical documentation. This role requires close collaboration with Business Owners, Product Managers, Architects, and delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

You will play a critical role in ensuring solutions align with both functional and non-functional requirements while supporting validation, testing, and deployment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

  • Collaborate with Business Owners, Product Managers, System Architects, and development teams to gather and analyse business and system requirements.

  • Translate business needs into structured user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

  • Ensure clarity, traceability, and completeness of requirements.

Solution Design & System Analysis

  • Participate in system analysis and solution design workshops.

  • Validate that proposed architectures meet both functional and operational expectations.

  • Identify system gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities.

Agile Backlog & Delivery Support

  • Support backlog refinement and prioritization with Product Owners.

  • Ensure requirements are implementation-ready for sprint planning.

  • Participate in Scrum or SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Manage multiple priorities across parallel initiatives.

Testing & Validation

  • Create and maintain functional and integration test cases.

  • Support sprint-level testing, system validation, and deployment readiness checks.

  • Participate in defect triage and resolution processes.

  • Contribute to release validation and production readiness verification.

Operational & Service Environment Focus

  • Support enterprise platforms operating within service-oriented and operational support environments.

  • Contribute to systems that enhance automation, reliability, and operational effectiveness.

Critical Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT delivery programs.

  • Strong background in systems analysis and application design.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear, testable artefacts.

  • Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe).

  • Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in service assurance or operations-focused IT environments.

  • Familiarity with platforms such as ServiceNow or similar enterprise tools.

  • Understanding of incident management, change management, and operational workflows.

  • Experience supporting testing cycles, validation, and production releases.

  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an added advantage.
