Role Overview
Vortenza Systems is hiring a Data Science Intern for a 3-month remote internship. In this role, you will analyse real-world datasets, perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), engineer data features, and train baseline predictive machine learning models to extract data-driven insights.
This position offers hands-on experience with production-style data science workflows, version control, and collaborative remote project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Clean, inspect, and summarize tabular and structured datasets to identify underlying distributions, trends, and anomalies.

Predictive Modeling: Train, evaluate, and fine-tune supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms (e.g., Regression, Classification, Clustering).

Data Visualization: Create clear charts, plots, and visual summaries to communicate findings to technical leads and stakeholders.

Feature Engineering: Preprocess raw datasets—handling missing values, encoding categorical variables, and normalizing features for model input.

Documentation & Reporting: Document technical approaches, codebases, and experimental outcomes in structured notebooks and project reports.
Eligibility & Skill Requirements

Target Audience: Enrolled college students or recent graduates pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related quantitative disciplines.
