About the Role
Intuit is seeking a Sr Staff Data Scientist to lead the analytical, experimentation, and strategic evaluation frameworks for TurboTax’s next-generation Full Service capabilities.
This high-impact leadership role operates in a zero-to-one problem space. You will define success metrics, evaluate nascent customer and expert experiences (including agentic AI workflows), shape experimentation roadmaps, and partner with executive leadership across Product, Marketing, Expert Operations, and Finance to guide strategic investments.
Key Responsibilities

Zero-to-One Measurement Frameworks: Architect measurement strategies, leading indicators, learning milestones, and success criteria for newly established product lines where benchmarks do not yet exist.

Agentic AI & Product Evaluation: Leverage AI IDEs (Cursor, Claude) and evaluation frameworks (Langfuse, Langsmith) to measure performance across automated AI agents and human expert interactions.

Experimentation & Growth Agendas: Design rigorous A/B testing, causal inference models, and multi-touch learning roadmaps to evaluate conversion, acquisition, retention, and cross-product adoption.

Two-Sided Marketplace Analytics: Model customer lifecycle behaviors before, during, and after tax season—connecting consumer demand signals with expert capacity, fulfillment speed, and operational efficiency.

Executive Storytelling & Decision Support: Build automated dashboards in Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to present complex, incomplete datasets into executive-ready narratives for investment planning cycles.

Cross-Functional Influence & Mentorship: Serve as the core data science partner to senior leadership in Marketing, Product, and Operations while mentoring junior analysts and data scientists.
Ideal Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of progressive data science, decision science, or business analytics experience within consumer tech, FinTech, two-sided marketplaces, or SaaS environments.

Ambiguity & Strategy: Proven track record of evaluating zero-to-one initiatives, shaping business strategy, and leading cross-functional alignment.

Modern AI Tooling: Hands-on experience utilising AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude) and AI evaluation/observability platforms (Langfuse, Langsmith).

Technical Analytics Stack: Advanced SQL mastery combined with deep Python or R proficiency for statistical modelling, causal inference, and automation scripting.

Data Visualisation: Hands-on expertise building executive dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related field).
