About the Role: Record to Report Ops Senior Analyst

Are you an experienced corporate accounting specialist ready to steer financial close lifecycles for global enterprise clients? Accenture is accepting applications for a Record to Report (R2R) Ops Senior Analyst based at its major hub in Gurugram, India.

Operating as a key analytical link within the Financial Consolidation & Close Operations framework, this full-time, permanent position requires strong ownership of the end-to-end accounting engine. You will be tasked with transforming unstructured transactional data into accurate, boardroom-ready financial statements. From engineering dynamic ledger allocations and cross-currency budgets to spearheading rigorous month-end sub-ledger closes, you will operate with minimal daily instruction. This position functions as an expert individual contributor or small-team coordinator, ensuring 100% compliance with strict auditing benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities & R2R Financial Workflows

  • Ledger Architecture & Maintenance: Design, manage, and update complex general ledger data structures, tracking baseline budgets, multi-currency frameworks, and commitment pipelines.

  • Advanced Transaction Processing: Coordinate high-volume journal entries, perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, and review financial line items for absolute ledger integrity.

  • Financial Close Ownership: Drive end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycles, running systemic interfaces to formally seal books of accounts.

  • Predictive Cash Forecasting: Collect operational metrics across multi-national entities to prepare accurate cash forecasting statements and treasury visibility reports.

  • Audit Readiness & Reporting: Compile critical balance sheets, schedules, and dynamic allocation sheets to defend accounting positions during corporate audits.

  • Problem Resolution & Collaboration: Solve increasingly complex transaction anomalies, resolve ledger disputes, and partner with internal client management teams.


Candidate Prerequisites & Analytical Toolkit

To navigate these complex financial structures successfully, candidates must possess a strong foundational baseline in corporate accounting combined with sharp digital analytics capabilities.

Academic Foundation & Tenure:

  • Minimum Education: A completed Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Master of Commerce (MCom), or CA Inter qualification.

  • Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of dedicated experience working directly within a Record to Report (R2R),General Ledger, or Financial Close environment.

Core Technical & Tool Proficiencies:

  • Accounting Domain: Mastery of general ledger accounting, double-entry processing rules, budget management,and hierarchical summaries.

  • Advanced Spreadsheet Engineering: High proficiency using Advanced Excel functions (including VLOOKUP,Pivot Tables, Macros, and VBA scripting) to manipulate accounting datasets.

  • Data Analytics & Data Visualization: Exposure to data manipulation software (such as MS Access or SQL queries) alongside business intelligence platforms like Power BI or Tableau to build tracking dashboards.
