Role Overview – Patient Data Steward
The Patient Data Steward will join the Patient Data Stewardship team, serving as a subject matter expert in patient data analytics. The primary mission is to investigate, resolve, and prevent data issues that impact the patient journey and therapy access.
This role demands analytical rigour, close attention to detail, strong stakeholder communication, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will work with pharmaceutical manufacturers, speciality pharmacies, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and reliable patient data processes.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Data Monitoring & Incident Management

Monitor, investigate, and remediate data incidents.
-
Ensure issues are resolved within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Record and track incidents using JIRA and other ticketing systems.
🔹 Patient Matching & Journey Analysis
-
Conduct patient matching activities using tokenized datasets.
-
Perform patient journey analysis to identify data gaps or inconsistencies.
-
Ensure data integrity across patient services workflows.
🔹 Stakeholder Communication
-
Collaborate with manufacturers, speciality pharmacies, and internal teams.

Communicate findings clearly and professionally.
-
Support ongoing program improvements through cross-functional coordination.
🔹 Data Analysis & Tools
-
Access, manipulate, and analyse datasets using SQL.

Utilize MS Excel for data validation and reporting.
-
Apply Python for advanced data processing (preferred).
-
Leverage tools like Power BI and the command prompt where applicable.
🔹 Process Improvement

Identify inefficiencies in current workflows.

Assist in enhancing tools and processes.

Contribute to both short-term operational fixes and long-term strategic improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and MS Excel (mandatory).

Experience with Python preferred.

Familiarity with Power BI and command-line tools is advantageous.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
