 Eligibility Criteria

The 2026 cycle is strictly for full-time students. Candidates who have already graduated are not eligible.

  • Academic Streams: Food Technology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Law, Management, Public Policy, Journalism, and IT/Computer Science.

  • Student Status: * UG Students: Must be in their 3rd or 4th year.

    • PG/PhD Students: Can be in any year of their degree.

  • Minimum Marks: A consistently strong academic record is preferred for merit-based shortlisting.

Domains & Work Areas

Interns are assigned to various divisions based on their academic profile:

  • IT & Data Systems: Focus on MIS reporting and digital platform support.

  • Communication & Media: content creation and social media outreach (Perfect for creators!).

  • Legal & Regulatory: Research on food standards and compliance laws.

  • Laboratory Operations: Hands-on testing at National Food Labs (Technically qualified candidates only).

Stipend & Facilities

  • Stipend: A one-time payment of ₹10,000 is provided to deserving interns upon successful completion, submission of a final report, and satisfactory attendance.

  • Workspace: FSSAI provides office space and internet, but you must bring your own laptop.

  • Accommodation: Interns must arrange their own lodging and travel; FSSAI does not cover these expenses.
