🔎 Job Summary

As a Drilling Data Analyst at SLB, you will provide technical expertise for data capture, management, and reporting throughout the lifecycle of wellsite drilling and workover operations.

You will ensure accurate daily reporting of wellsite activities, including:

  • Dysfunctional symptoms tracking

  • KPI-based performance analytics

  • Non-Productive Time (NPT) and Invisible Lost Time (ILT) analysis

This role requires hands-on experience in real-time data monitoring, operational troubleshooting, and proactive quality control of drilling data systems.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

📊 Daily Operational Reporting

  • Perform daily reporting of wellsite operations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate data capture, configuration, loading, and QC.

  • Monitor operational activities for the assigned asset/location.

  • Troubleshoot reporting or data inconsistencies

🛠 Data Capture & Quality Control

  • Ensure seamless data integration from service providers and client systems.

  • Monitor mandatory reporting parameters and compliance.

  • Validate data formats, units, identifiers, and normal value ranges.

  • Proactively identify and fix data issues.

  • Track and document system issues and resolutions

🔄 Application & System Management

  • Learn reporting application installation and configuration processes.

  • Support system upgrades and maintenance

  • Collaborate with remote operations teams for troubleshooting.

  • Maintain the smooth functionality of software and reporting systems.

🤝 Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate data collection with service companies and client organisations.

  • Work closely with on-site teams and project stakeholders.

  • Support real-time data providers.

  • Follow Incident Escalation Procedures when necessary.

🔐 Compliance & HSE

  • Implement Data Confidentiality Standards

  • Follow IT Security Policies for data storage and transfer.

  • Maintain HSE Scorecards

  • Contribute to HSE Safety Programs

🧠 Required Qualifications

  • Graduation Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics

  • At least 1 year of experience in upstream drilling operations analytics

  • Strong understanding of drilling lifecycle processes

  • Proficiency in reporting tools and data monitoring systems

  • Language proficiency: English and Hindi
