Weekday AI is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing client looking for an analytical professional to drive business intelligence and predictive modelling.

About the Role

This role bridges Data Analysis and Data Science, suited for professionals who enjoy taking raw data from exploratory querying and visualisation all the way through statistical modelling.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Operations) to define key metrics, build automated Tableau reporting, execute data pipelines in Python, and develop machine learning models that guide strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Uncover hidden trends, behavioural patterns, and operational bottlenecks across large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • SQL Data Extraction & Pipelines: Write optimised, well-structured SQL queries to join, filter, and extract transactional data from cloud databases.
  • Dashboarding & Business Intelligence: Build, maintain, and automate interactive Tableau dashboards tracking core company KPIs and executive metrics.
  • Python Automation & Modeling: Develop clean Python scripts for data wrangling (pandas, numpy), feature transformation, and baseline predictive models.
  • Cross-Functional Decision Support: Partner with product managers and business operations leads to translate business questions into data-driven answers.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance data validation checks, pipeline reliability, and metric definitions.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: 1–5 years of hands-on experience in a Data Analyst or Data Scientist role (startup experience highly preferred).
  • Core Technical Stack:
    • SQL: Advanced proficiency in writing CTEs, window functions, and complex query optimizations.
    • Python: Strong hands-on experience with data manipulation and analytical libraries.
    • Data Visualization: Proven track record building executive-ready reports in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
    • Statistical Methods: Solid understanding of probability, hypothesis testing, and quantitative business modeling.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Exposure to machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost).
    • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and version control (Git).
    • Familiarity with workflow orchestrators like Apache Airflow.
