Associate – Fulfilment Planner at Tesco

Apply for the Associate – Fulfilment Planner role at Tesco in Bengaluru (0-2 years of experience). Optimise UK fulfilment center capacity, colleague workflows, and supply chain logistics.

About the Company: Tesco

Tesco is one of the world’s leading multinational grocery and general merchandise retailers. Headquartered in the UK, Tesco serves millions of customers across Europe every day through its extensive brick-and-mortar network and its online grocery home shopping (Dotcom) service.

Tesco in Bengaluru, established in 2004, acts as the core multi-disciplinary technology and operations hub for the entire global enterprise. This hub designs, monitors, and standardizes critical workflows that directly power operations across the UK. The Global Business Services (GBS) division in Bengaluru runs highly advanced supply chain, logistics, and data analytics engines to ensure Tesco’s global networks operate smoothly, cost-effectively, and reliably.

About the Role: Associate – Fulfilment Planner

Are you an entry-level professional or fresh graduate looking to launch a dynamic career within global supply chain operations? Tesco is hiring a full-time, permanent Associate – Fulfilment Planner to join its specialised Customer Success, Service & Operations team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Tailored for early-career minds and freshers with 0 to 2 years of experience, this role focuses on the tactical scheduling, capacity modelling, and workflow planning that keep Tesco’s UK online order fulfilment centers running efficiently.

In this position, you will be the analytical brain behind complex intra-day labour scheduling and volume forecasting. Rather than performing passive administration, you will optimise resource allocation to ensure that thousands of online grocery orders are restocked, picked, packed, and ready for transport vehicles on time. If you enjoy solving resource allocation puzzles and want to learn how global supply chains respond to changing consumer demands in real time, this is a great starting point.

Key Responsibilities & Supply Chain Workflows

  • Workflow Capacity Planning: Calculate and coordinate colleague task schedules across all UK Fulfilment Centers, matching real-time order volumes with labour availability.

  • System Parameter Optimisation: Develop, monitor, and adjust planning parameters within Tesco’s software to continuously improve automated scheduling accuracy and efficiency.

  • Tracker & Dashboard Governance: Update and maintain internal resource trackers and operational dashboards to ensure colleagues are allocated to the right zone at the right hour.

  • Continuous Improvement Execution: Apply Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and techniques to identify hidden bottlenecks in warehouse routing, reduce operational waste, and drive cost efficiencies.

  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with UK site operations managers, the Global Home Shopping (GHS) office in Bengaluru, in-store technology picking squads, and transport tracking engineers.

  • Risk Control Implementation: Identify operational workflow gaps, design preventative contingency plans, and execute internal audits to mitigate inventory delivery risks.

  • KPI & Quality Metric Accountability: Deliver critical daily fulfilment metrics with high accuracy and speed by adhering strictly to Tesco’s internal operational quality frameworks.
