🎯 Role Summary
The AVP, Customer Data Platform (CDP) Analyst will support the operations, integrations, and performance of Synchrony’s Customer Data Platform, ensuring smooth data flows and marketing automation processes. The role involves collaborating across technical and marketing teams to manage data quality, identity resolution, and segmentation strategies for multi-channel campaigns.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operation and health of the Customer Data Platform (CDP).

Support data integration, ingestion, and ETL development from multiple sources.

Configure and optimize data architecture and identity resolution logic.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and integrate 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data.

Manage data collection listeners, audience segmentation, and reporting.
-
Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across systems.
-
Provide insights on MarTech stack improvements and emerging technologies.
🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, IT, or Marketing Technology (or 9+ yrs equivalent experience).

7+ years of experience in marketing technology, data platforms, or digital analytics.

2+ years of experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
-
5+ years of experience with SQL, Python, R, or SAS.

Proven expertise in data integration, ETL, and marketing automation.

Strong collaboration skills with technical and marketing teams.
🌟 Preferred / Desired Skills
-
Experience managing complex enterprise CDPs and multi-platform data integrations.

Knowledge of API/webhook integrations, JavaScript tags, and tag management systems.

Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Kafka, Splunk, and Power BI.

Understanding of data governance, identity resolution, and privacy laws (GDPR, CPRA).

Experience in Gen AI / Agentic AI applications such as langgraph, n8n, AWS Co-Pilot Studio.

Exposure to financial services, credit card marketing, or BFSI domain.
