Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst – Credit Risk at CRISIL, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Transforming Business Problems into Analytical Solutions: Ability to understand business challenges, conceptualize them analytically, and provide actionable insights.

  • Data Modeling and Statistical Analysis: Conduct comprehensive data analysis, validation, and modeling using Python, SQL, SAS, Pyspark, and Excel to support strategic decisions.

  • Project Management and Delivery: Lead and manage projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Apply Agile methodology practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub for seamless project management.

  • Driving Process Efficiency: Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, optimize processes, and deliver efficiency gains across multiple business lines and regions.

  • Decision Support: Utilize data-driven insights to improve customer outcomes and support management in making informed credit risk decisions.

  • Self-Initiated Projects: Take ownership of independent initiatives to uncover business benefits and improve analytical capabilities.


Leadership and Teamwork

The candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Responsibilities include:

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Python, SQL, SAS, Excel, and Pyspark skills.

  • Proven experience in project management using Agile methodology; familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub.

  • Exposure to Credit Risk and Credit Risk Management frameworks.

  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Experience handling large datasets, with knowledge of Big Data tools and Hadoop Data Lake being an advantage.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and statistical skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior professionals and lead project teams.
