Lead Enterprise QA Transformation in a Hybrid Work Environment

Are you a seasoned QA leader ready to redefine quality standards for a global tech giant? Tech Mahindra is looking for a Senior Manager of Quality Engineering & Test Automation to spearhead enterprise-wide transformation from our Toronto hub.

With 15+ years of expertise, you will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and technical execution, driving the adoption of “automation-first” mindsets and modern DevOps integration. If you thrive on architecting scalable frameworks and leading high-performing global teams, this is your next career milestone.

The Role: Senior Manager (QA Transformation)

You will be the architect of our Quality Engineering strategy, partnering with C-level stakeholders to drive ROI through automation and shift-left testing.

Major Tasks & Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a QE strategy that aligns with global product goals and establishes a QA Center of Excellence (CoE).

  • Framework Architecture: Lead the design of scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, and Mobile using tools like Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.

  • DevOps Integration: Embed quality gates directly into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to ensure seamless delivery.

  • AI Innovation: Leverage GenAI and AI/ML tools to optimize test generation, coverage, and overall efficiency.

  • Program Management: Oversee multi-million dollar portfolios and large-scale programs, ensuring high-quality releases with zero defect leakage.

  • Executive Reporting: Utilize Power BI and Grafana to provide visibility into quality metrics and transformation progress for senior leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a “visionary practitioner”—someone who understands the deep technical nuances of modern programming but excels at executive communication and team mentorship.

Technical & Leadership Expertise:

  • Experience: 15+ years in QA/Quality Engineering (with at least 5 years in leadership roles).

  • Programming Mastery: Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

  • Modern Tooling: Deep expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Robot Framework.

  • Process Excellence: Mastery of the Test Pyramid, Shift-Left testing, and BDD (Cucumber).

  • Cloud & Monitoring: Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP and observability tools like Datadog and Grafana.

  • Linguistic/Domain Preference: Experience in Finance/Banking, Healthcare, or E-commerce is highly desirable.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Background: 15–22 years of total experience in the IT domain.

  • Location: Based in or willing to work in a Hybrid capacity in Toronto, Canada (2-3 days in-office).

  • Pay Range: CAD 120,000 – CAD 126,000 per annum (including bonuses).

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.

  • Time Off: Paid holidays, sick leave, and parental leave as per Canadian law.
