As part of its data-driven culture, Scripbox is looking to hire a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to strengthen its analytics and reporting capabilities in Bangalore.

Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This position involves building and maintaining robust data pipelines, developing interactive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights using tools such as Databricks, Python, PL/SQL, and Tableau.

In addition to core analytics responsibilities, the role includes supporting the development of basic machine learning models for predictive and classification use cases. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product, business, and engineering teams to ensure high data quality, integrity, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Business Reporting

  • Analyse structured and semi-structured datasets to identify key trends and opportunities.

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.

  • Interpret business data to identify patterns, anomalies, and performance indicators.

  • Deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders through clear storytelling and reporting.

2. Data Pipeline Development & ML Support

  • Assist in building and maintaining ETL pipelines using Airflow, Databricks, and Python.

  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of data across systems.

  • Contribute to the development and deployment of basic machine learning models, including regression and classification models.

  • Support predictive analytics initiatives such as customer segmentation and forecasting.

3. SQL & Data Handling

  • Write and optimize PL/SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation.

  • Ensure data validation and consistency across dashboards and reports.

  • Perform quality checks to maintain accuracy in reporting outputs.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to gather data requirements.

  • Translate complex business problems into analytical frameworks.

  • Present insights in a clear and structured manner for decision-making.

5. Data Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Support data governance initiatives to enhance data integrity.

  • Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot performance issues proactively.

  • Implement best practices in data validation and pipeline monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in data analysis or a similar analytics role.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL and query optimization.

  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and basic machine learning tasks.

  • Expertise in Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, AWS, or GCP.

  • Working knowledge of ETL tools and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow).

  • Understanding of machine learning concepts, including regression and classification.

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills to present insights effectively.
