About the Role

Azoca Technologies is hiring a Data Analyst for a remote, contract-based opportunity. This role focuses on dashboard development, advanced SQL analysis, and product analytics, supporting data-driven decision-making across business and social impact initiatives.

The ideal candidate will work independently, gather business requirements with minimal input, and proactively recommend analytics solutions that deliver clear, actionable insights.

Role Summary

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and managing analytics dashboards, writing complex SQL queries, and translating business questions into measurable metrics. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyse product performance, user behaviour, and business outcomes, using Amazon QuickSight as the primary visualisation tool.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Analytics & Dashboards

  • Design, optimise, and manage dashboards using Amazon QuickSight

  • Translate business requirements into impactful dashboards and reports

  • Track product performance, user behaviour, and business KPIs

🧮 Data Analysis & SQL

  • Write and optimise complex SQL queries

  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability

  • Perform deep-dive analysis to uncover trends and insights

🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Gather minimal inputs from clients and stakeholders

  • Proactively recommend analytics structures and reporting solutions

  • Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

🌍 Impact Measurement

  • Integrate Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) metrics for nonprofit and social impact projects

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Amazon QuickSight (dashboard design & optimisation)

  • Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning)

  • 2–3 years of experience in:

    • Product analytics

    • User behaviour analysis

    • Business performance tracking

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio

  • Knowledge of Python or R, Google Sheets, or Excel

  • Familiarity with mobile analytics tools (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)

  • Experience with:

    • A/B testing

    • Segmentation & cohort analysis

  • Understanding of UX/UI principles for effective data storytelling

  • Previous experience in the nonprofit / social impact sector

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Data analytics or visualisation certifications (preferred)
