Salary Range
Based on current market trends for senior Business Analysts with mandatory SaaS/Product company experience:
Estimated Salary: ₹18 LPA – ₹30 LPA
The final compensation package will depend on the candidate’s experience, technical expertise, certifications, interview performance, and internal company policies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Business Analyst, you’ll serve as the vital connection between clients, business stakeholders, sales teams, and software development teams. Your expertise will help shape scalable technology solutions while supporting business growth initiatives.
Your responsibilities include:
- Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to qualify leads and recommend suitable technology solutions.
- Lead RFP and RFI responses by preparing high-quality proposals and solution documents.
- Conduct client discovery workshops to understand business challenges and gather functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and solution blueprints.
- Deliver product demonstrations and solution presentations to prospective clients.
- Work closely with developers, architects, QA teams, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for solution enhancements and business expansion during client engagements.
- Support Agile project execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Build long-term relationships with stakeholders by acting as a trusted business advisor.
Required Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in IT or software development.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in pre-sales or solution consulting.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
- Good knowledge of Cloud platforms, REST APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong documentation expertise, including BRDs, FRDs, SOWs, and functional specifications.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as:
- Jira
- Figma
- Confluence
- Other business analysis and collaboration platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications will have an added advantage:
- Previous experience in SaaS or Product-based companies (Mandatory).
- Domain knowledge in Retail, Real Estate, or E-commerce.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Strong consulting mindset with excellent client-facing experience.
