The Role: ServiceNow Technical Lead & Developer

We are looking for a ServiceNow Assistant Manager to join our elite technology team. You will be responsible for the configuration, customisation, and administration of the ServiceNow platform across multiple modules, including ITSM, HRSD, and SPM (ITBM). This is a leadership-oriented role that combines hands-on engineering with team mentorship and architectural design.

Key Responsibilities & Technical Leadership

  • Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of custom portals using Service Portal and create high-performance custom widgets.

  • Advanced Scripting: Develop complex logic using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, AJAX, and CSS.

  • Enterprise Integration: Build and manage robust integrations with third-party applications using REST and SOAP (JSON/XML).

  • Technical Governance: Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor a high-performing squad of developers.

  • Platform Lifecycle: Oversee platform upgrades, maintain source code integrity, and adhere to Release Management best practices.

  • Agile Excellence: Operates within Agile and SAFe Agile methodologies to define and validate technical requirements.

  • Module Mastery: Expert customisation across ITSM, ITBM (SPM), APM, GRC, HRSD, and CMDB.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • ServiceNow Core: At least 3 years of experience in Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, and Workflows.

  • Portal Development: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Service Portal Developer.

  • Leadership: 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead performing code reviews.

  • Certifications: * ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA)

    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

    • ITIL Certifications (Preferred)

Experience You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of web-based technologies and Microsoft SQL Server backend.

  • Ability to translate business justifications into sound technical arguments.

  • Well-versed in UML diagramming using tools like Visio or Enterprise Architect.

  • A “Team Player” mindset with the ability to navigate fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
