Role Overview
ShareChat is recruiting a Remote Data Analyst Intern based in or working from Jharsuguda, Odisha for a 6-month mentor-led internship program.
Unlike certificate-only internships, this role assigns interns to a named mentor with daily team stand-ups and production-facing analytics projects. Interns will write SQL queries, build business reporting dashboards in Power BI, clean raw app data using Python (Pandas), and deliver production-ready dashboarding packs that support engineering, product, and business leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Production Analytics & SQL: Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze high-volume user and platform data.

Dashboard Design & BI Reporting: Build and maintain automated Power BI dashboards and executive reporting decks.

Python Data Wrangling: Perform data cleaning, feature manipulation, and descriptive statistical analysis using Python (Pandas/NumPy) and MS Excel.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders on live feature performance tracking.

Agile Execution & Daily Stand-ups: Attend daily engineering/analytics stand-ups, track deliverables against agreed timelines, and incorporate feedback from senior mentors.
Eligibility & Candidate Requirements
Target Academic Streams

Degrees: B.E. / B.Tech, B.Sc / M.Sc (Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science), BCA / MCA, B.Com, or BBA / MBA.

Graduating Batches: 2026, 2027, or 2028 batch students and recent graduates.

Academic Threshold: 60% / 6.0 CGPA and above preferred (strong practical project portfolios/GitHub work weighed alongside marks).
Skill Requirements

Technical Stack: Fundamental understanding of SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, and Python (Pandas).

Data Concepts: Understanding of data cleaning, data wrangling, descriptive statistics, and dashboard UI layout principles.

Soft Skills: Clear written English communication, strong self-testing discipline, and problem-solving curiosity.

Equipment & Location: Must possess a laptop with a stable internet connection and be based in or willing to work remotely from Jharsuguda, Odisha.
