About the Role: Data Analyst – Intern

DeHaat is seeking a technically adept, logically driven Data Analyst Intern with strong hands-on experience in Python to join its analytics team in Gurugram. This position is custom-built for students or recent graduates who want to work on complex, real-world data pipelines and see their code directly impact rural supply chains and marketplace dynamics.

This role moves past static spreadsheet logging. You will be given direct ownership of raw operational and marketplace datasets. Your day-to-day domain will focus on writing Python scripts to extract, transform, and clean messy data sources, building automated data processing workflows, and deploying analytical libraries to isolate trends. Key Responsibilities & Data Analytics Workflows

• Data Preprocessing & Wrangling: Collect, parse, clean, and format raw, multi-source business datasets using Python, resolving structural anomalies and validating data health.

• Automation Scripting: Write and maintain clean Python scripts to automate manual data extraction, transformation, and ingestion workflows, drastically reducing data processing latency.

• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Utilize specialized Python libraries (such as Pandas and NumPy) to perform deep diagnostic analyses, identifying core supply chain trends, regional demands, and anomalies.

• Visual Dashboarding & Reporting: Create clear reports and charts using data visualization libraries (like Matplotlib and Seaborn) to summarize key metric findings for decision-makers.

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with cross-functional operational squads to gather reporting requirements, translating open-ended business issues into structured data parameters.

Candidate Prerequisites & Eligibility Criteria

Educational Baseline:

• Academic Track: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a matching quantitative discipline.

• Project Proofs: Prior completion of academic coursework, personal GitHub repositories, hackathons, or previous internships demonstrating Python-based data manipulation is highly preferred.

Required Technical & Soft Skills:
