About the Role: MIS Data Analyst

Are you a detail-oriented analyst who wants to connect day-to-day corporate operations with senior executive insights? HCLTech is hiring an MIS Data Analyst to join its data operations group at the Sandhya Infocity campus in Navalur, OMR, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This position is built for professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in dedicated MIS reporting and business intelligence deployment.

As an MIS Data Analyst at HCLTech, you will manage operational reporting pipelines. You will look beyond basic tables to organise corporate data pools, build and manage interactive Power BI views, write analytical DAX measures, and use advanced Excel logic to track key corporate trends. This position is optimised for immediate joiners who can step directly into a corporate environment and build clean, automated data tools from day one.

Key Responsibilities & Operational Workflows

• Enterprise MIS Reporting: Design, deploy, and maintain standard Management Information Systems (MIS) reports to support day-to-day operations and corporate strategies.

• Power BI Dashboard Engineering: Build and manage custom Power BI visualization layouts, map star-schema data models, and write functional DAX calculations to track key performance metrics.

• Advanced Spreadsheet Wrangle: Run complex statistical and structural data analysis using advanced Excel functions, including multi-layered Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH matrices.

• Data Validation & Quality Checks: Audit incoming data sources from multiple departments to ensure complete accuracy, data lineage tracking, and strict corporate integrity.

• Pipeline Automation Support: Identify slow, manual data loops and use macros or scripting tools to automate recurring reports and speed up dashboard updates.

• Cross-Functional Requirements Gathering: Partner directly with multi-department stakeholder teams to translate open-ended business questions into structured operational analytics.

• Ad-Hoc Investigative Analytics: Respond quickly to high-priority data requests, digging into raw data to isolate anomalies, operational bottlenecks, or hidden trends.

Candidate Prerequisites & Key Technical Skills

Required Experience & Technical Baseline:

• Professional Tenure: Minimum 3 Years of hands-on experience focused specifically on MIS reporting, database administration, or business intelligence tasks.

• Power BI Stack Competency: Intermediate fluency using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including creating interactive visuals, establishing relationships, and writing core DAX functions.

• Advanced Excel Stack Mastery: Total comfort manipulating large datasets using advanced logical formulas, array searches, conditional formatting, and dashboard layouts.

Optional Qualifications (Good to Have):
