The Role: Account Executive (Sales & Strategy)

As an Account Executive, you are the strategic engine behind Gartner’s growth in the mid-market segment. You will manage a territory of organisations with annual revenues between $10 million and $250 million, focusing on two core pillars: Contract Value (CV) Retention and Expansion (Upsell/Cross-sell).

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a partner to C-level and senior executives, aligning Gartner’s research and tools to their business goals.

  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership: From prospecting and building pipelines to closing complex renewals and high-revenue expansion deals.

  • Account Retention: Manage and renew member research contracts within an assigned territory.

  • Relationship Management: Navigate matrixed business environments to build long-term, high-value partnerships.

  • Forecasting Excellence: Precisely manage and forecast sales processes to meet and exceed aggressive revenue targets.

What You Will Need

  • Sales Pedigree: 2-6 years of professional B2B sales experience, ideally within intangible or complex services (SaaS, Research, Consulting).

  • Executive Presence: Proven experience influencing and selling to C-level stakeholders.

  • Target Driven: A consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas.

  • Location: Willingness to live within commutable distance to our Gurgaon COE.
