We are looking for AI-Native Java Backend Engineers for our hubs in Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru. This isn’t a traditional coding role; we are seeking “early adopters” who leverage Generative AI tools like Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, and Groq to accelerate development, maintain elite code quality, and build scalable enterprise systems.

 The Role: Building the Merlin Agentic Platform

As an AI-Native Engineer, you will contribute to the Merlin Agentic Platform, which orchestrates intelligent AI agents to automate negotiations, contract drafting, and invoice processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scalable Backend Development: Design and deploy secure Java-based systems using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

• AI-Assisted Engineering: Use coding agents (Cursor, ClaudeCode, Codex) to write production-quality, scalable applications at high velocity.

• High-Performance Architecture: Build multi-threaded applications with clean architecture and seamless front-end integration.

• Cloud & Security: Work with REST APIs, JWT authentication, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Agile Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines within a fast-paced Scrum environment.

• Innovation Advocacy: Stay updated on emerging GenAI best practices and integrate them into the Zycus engineering DNA.

 Your Success Profile: The 10x Engineer

We want engineers who have moved beyond manual boilerplate and are experts at prompting and supervising AI-driven code generation.

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on Java development.

• Core Technical Stack:

  • Strong proficiency in Spring Framework and Spring Boot.

  • Deep understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns.

  • Hands-on experience with Multi-threading and Concurrency.

  • Expertise in JPA/Hibernate and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• AI Tooling Mastery: Demonstrated use of Cursor AI, Groq, ChatGPT, or Copilot to optimize debugging and documentation.

• Infrastructure: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and cloud platforms.

• Preferred: Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures like Kafka.
