Role Overview: Business Analyst – Customer Operations

The Business Analyst – Customer Operations plays an important role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams.

In this role, the analyst will support the Customer Experience (CX) Operations team by analysing business requirements, building reports and dashboards, identifying operational trends, and improving internal processes.

This position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on data analysis, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy working with business intelligence tools and operational datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Requirements and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with stakeholders across Customer Experience, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.

  • Understand business challenges, priorities, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Translate complex business needs into clear and structured technical requirements.

  • Communicate requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical teams.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyse customer experience data, operational metrics, and program performance.

  • Identify trends, risks, and performance drivers affecting customer success.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as:

    • Tableau

    • Salesforce

    • Excel

    • Looker Studio

  • Provide leadership teams with insights into customer health, churn risk, and operational KPIs.

Operational Process Improvement

  • Analyse existing workflows and operational processes.

  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Work with business systems and solutions teams to design improvements.

Solution Development and Project Support

  • Produce key documentation such as:

    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)

    • Functional Specifications (FSDs)

    • Use cases and process maps

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by creating test cases and gathering feedback.

  • Assist project managers with initiative planning, scope definition, and effort estimation.


Required Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Business Analyst role should meet the following requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably in SaaS or high-growth technology companies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM or SaaS platforms

  • Strong ability to build dashboards and data reports

  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or similar platforms

  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities


Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following additional skills may have an advantage:

  • Experience working with Generative AI or automation tools such as ChatGPT, Notion AI, Alteryx, or Power Automate

  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or scripting languages

  • Experience developing business cases and strategic insights

  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments
