Overview Of The Role

The role entails working with the Amazon content team across all aspects of content – selection, development, pre-production, shoot, post-production and delivery. We’re looking for a professional with significant knowledge and understanding of the entertainment business primarily from content creation perspective. The ability to work within and across large, interdependent, internal and external teams is necessary. The right person will have an implicit understanding of the balance needed between creative quality, economics and timelines.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Assist the series development managers on the operations, master deliveries, coordination with content operations team at Amazon.
  • Make set visits on the series they work on during development.
  • On completion of shoot watch network cuts and discuss feedback and thoughts with the creative executive.
  • Assist and work with creative executive in providing feedback and taking part in discussion of scripts (of a show/movie in development).
  • Evaluate pitches received and shortlist ideas that align to Mini Tv and Prime Video’s content strategy and programming gaps.
  • Read and evaluate books on various genres and languages and recommend possible development for adaptation into a series/film with their creative leads
  • Watch formats/international series across locales and recommend options for local Indian adaptation
  • Creating a master database on creative talent that could possibly work well for Mini tv and Prime Video content sensibilities and economics.
  • Research on Pop culture and new trends series that are successful

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of creation of content end to end

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification of specialized film course(s)
  • Knowledge of the OTT space particularly advertising based video on demand
  • Experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate
