🌐 About the Role

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking an experienced Freelance Corporate Development Consultant to support our global growth initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to M&A strategy, evaluate partnership opportunities, lead due diligence, and support integration planning. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact corporate development projects that shape BCG’s future.

⭐ Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market scans to identify M&A, partnership, and investment opportunities.
  • Develop strategic growth roadmaps aligned with BCG’s long-term vision.
  • Perform due diligence, valuation, and financial modeling to assess potential deals.
  • Support deal execution including negotiations, structuring, and documentation.
  • Create and implement post-merger integration plans, ensuring synergy realization.
  • Advise on divestitures, carve-outs, or restructuring initiatives when required.
  • Collaborate with leadership on corporate strategy and portfolio management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare presentations, business cases, and reports for senior leadership decision-making.

✅ Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4–8+ years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, consulting, or investment banking.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, valuation, and strategic assessment.
  • Proven track record of managing deals from origination to post-integration.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Consulting or professional services industry experience is a plus.

👉 Nice-to-have Skills

  • Prior consulting experience (especially strategy, corporate finance).
  • Experience in professional services business models (e.g. consulting, digital, analytics).
  • Experience with minority investments, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in the target industry(s) (e.g. technology, digital transformation, advanced analytics).
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory, tax, legal frameworks in jurisdictions where deals may occur.

🎁 Compensation

  • Fee negotiated per project / per deliverable or on a daily / hourly rate depending on experience and scope.
  • Possible bonus / success fee for completed transactions / outcomes.
