The Role: MLOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled MLOps Engineer to serve as the backbone of our machine learning infrastructure. In this role, you will design, deploy, and manage sophisticated ML pipelines within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will be the bridge between data science and production, ensuring that our models are not only accurate but scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient. From automating workflows with Vertex AI to managing infrastructure with Terraform, you will play a vital role in modernizing the logistics of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipeline Automation: Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for ML systems to ensure seamless model delivery.

• Infrastructure Management: Build and maintain scalable ML infrastructure using Kubernetes (GKE) and Terraform (IaC).

• Model Monitoring: Track performance metrics (Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1) and proactively address model drift, bias, or degradation.

• System Optimisation: Optimise SQL queries in BigQuery and refine ML pipelines for cost-efficiency and performance.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Interact with architects and business leaders to translate state-of-the-art AI into tangible business value.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

Required:

• Programming: Mastery of Python and SQL.

• GCP Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with Vertex AI Pipelines (Kubeflow), BigQueryML, and Cloud Monitoring.

• Infrastructure: Expertise in Kubernetes (GKE) and Model Registry/Versioning.

• ML Fundamentals: Deep understanding of regression, clustering, and neural networks (Transformers, Deep Learning).

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (CS, Math, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering).

Bonus Qualifications:

• Multi-Cloud: Experience with Azure MLOps.

• Advanced AI: Familiarity with setting up NLP, Generative AI, or LLM applications.

• Visualisation: Proficiency in creating Looker dashboards for performance reporting.

• Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Lean environment.
