The Role: AI Application Architect

We are seeking an accomplished AI Application Architect to join our AI Acceleration teams. This is a pivotal technical leadership role focused on designing and delivering enterprise-scale Generative AI (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) systems.

You will define the blueprint for ML solutions on cloud platforms like GCP (Vertex AI) and IBM Watsonx, leading end-to-end design and driving the adoption of emerging frameworks across the organization. You will bridge the gap between complex data science and production-grade software engineering.

Key Responsibilities & Impact

• Architectural Leadership: Define and design robust application architectures for ML/GenAI workloads using cloud-native tools.

• End-to-End Implementation: Lead the design of data pipelines, model development, deployment (MLOps), and automated retraining.

• GenAI Innovation: Spearhead the adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs) and diffusion models to solve real-world logistics challenges.

• Strategic Roadmap: Define strategies that accelerate AI adoption across business units, moving from experimental features to unified platforms.

• Ethical AI Governance: Promote best practices in data governance, ethical/responsible AI, and regulatory compliance (GDPR/SOX).

• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to ML engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field.

• Core Experience: 7+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions at an enterprise scale.

• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on mastery of GCP Vertex AI (Preferred), AWS SageMaker, or Azure ML.

• Programming & Frameworks: Strong skills in Python, Java, or C++, and proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• AI Depth: Deep understanding of statistical modelling, representation, reasoning, and GenAI (LLMs).

• MLOps Mastery: Experience with MLflow, TFX, Kubeflow, and CI/CD pipelines for AI.

Preferred Skills

• Experience launching GenAI solutions into production using both open-source and vendor platforms.

• Active involvement in the AI/ML community (publications or open-source contributions).

• Knowledge of security frameworks and cloud networking best practices.
