Role Summary

We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team.

As a Senior Data Analyst at Skillsoft, you will play a key role in turning data into insights that drive strategic decisions across the business. From sourcing, cleaning, and analyzing complex datasets to creating dashboards and visualizations, you will help us understand our learners, measure success, and optimize our business processes.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver actionable insights that accelerate performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

  • Conduct ad-hoc data analyses to support key business initiatives and strategic projects.

  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, visual, and actionable format.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve data processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Partner with teams across the organization to build a data-driven culture, where insights guide decisions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy and timeliness of delivered data insights and reports.

  • Number and quality of actionable insights generated each quarter.

  • Measurable improvement in business outcomes based on data-driven recommendations.

  • Stakeholder satisfaction with dashboards, reporting, and analytical support.

  • Contribution to achieving organizational KPIs and strategic goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.

  • Strong command of SQL for querying and data manipulation.

  • Hands-on experience with Python or R for data analysis and modeling.

  • Advanced skills in Excel for analysis, modeling, and reporting.

  • Expertise in Tableau (preferred) or Power BI for data visualization.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Data Analyst (CDA) or equivalent.

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst.

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.

  • Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate.

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics (a plus).
