About the Role: Research Meets Production at Scale

As a core member of the Auxia Data Science team, you will do more than build models—you will define our roadmap. You will work at the intersection of recommender systems, causal inference, and foundational models (LLMs) to serve 10s of millions of users daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Algorithm Innovation: Design, implement, and fine-tune ML algorithms to solve complex growth and personalisation challenges.

• Agentic AI Development: Build autonomous agents capable of executing complex workflows and adapting to real-time requirements.

• Advanced Evaluation: Implement and improve offline model evaluation methods to ensure production-grade reliability.

• Data Storytelling: Analyse massive datasets to extract insights and present recommendations to product and growth teams at Auxia’s global customers.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering and business teams to bridge the gap between AI research and product vision.

• Continuous Research: Stay at the bleeding edge of ML through literature reviews, conferences, and networking.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a “hands-on” researcher who thrives in the ambiguity of a fast-growing startup.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.

• Experience: 5+ years in training, improving, and deploying production-grade ML models and data pipelines.

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Jax, alongside the Python ecosystem (Pandas, Numpy, SciPy).

• AI Specialisation: Proven experience with LLMs, RAG, and Information Retrieval.

• Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of recommender systems, feed ranking, and causal inference techniques.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience managing and consuming large-scale datasets via Cloud services.
