Role Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to build scalable analytics foundations. This role involves designing data marts, managing data warehouses, optimizing ELT pipelines, and enabling business teams with actionable insights.

You will collaborate with Product, Revenue, Sales, and Marketing teams to translate data into measurable outcomes. This is a high-ownership role suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, product-led organisations.


Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Hygiene

  • Own data hygiene and governance for company-wide reporting.

  • Define and manage data SLAs with operational accountability.

  • Implement automated data quality monitoring frameworks.

Analytics Engineering & Modelling

  • Design and build scalable data marts to support BI and advanced analytics.

  • Develop reusable, high-performance data transformations using SQL and Python.

  • Ensure consistency across business metrics and analytical models.

Data Warehouse & ELT Pipelines

  • Partner with Data Engineering teams to manage the data warehouse.

  • Build and optimize ELT workflows using dbt and Airflow.

  • Maintain structured, scalable, and well-documented data pipelines.

Dashboarding & Business Intelligence

  • Create and maintain dashboards using BI tools such as Superset.

  • Build client-facing and internal performance monitoring systems.

  • Deliver actionable insights through effective data visualization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams.

  • Support experimentation, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.

  • Operate autonomously while solving cross-functional business challenges.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Jinja, and Git.

  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, and AWS (mandatory).

  • Expertise in building reusable data transformations and managing ELT pipelines.

  • Experience in BI tools such as Superset for dashboarding.

  • Ability to manage the full data lifecycle from ingestion to insight delivery.

Professional Experience

  • 2–4 years in data analytics or analytics engineering roles.

  • Proven ability to deliver measurable business value.

  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capabilities.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to craft compelling data narratives.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in presenting insights to business stakeholders.
