About the Role

EPAM Systems is building a suite of modern Enterprise APIs for a leading retail industry client using a robust Microsoft Azure technology stack. We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Retail API to lead business analysis initiatives for Pricing and Inventory APIs.

In this role, you will work closely with business SMEs, customer representatives, and development teams to define requirements, improve processes, and deliver high-quality API solutions that align with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business SMEs to document current and future business processes for Pricing or Inventory APIs
Define project scope boundaries in coordination with development teams and IT stakeholders
Lead discussions and workshops with customer representatives
Create detailed business requirement documents, data mapping rules, and API outbound specifications
Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation for technical teams
Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather, validate, and refine requirements
Identify and recommend process improvements within retail API ecosystems
Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, governance, and best practices
Support API testing, validation, and user acceptance activities
Track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
Identify risks related to business analysis activities and support mitigation efforts
Mentor and provide guidance to junior business analysts

Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years of experience in Business Analysis
Strong background in the retail domain
Proven experience in defining and documenting complex business requirements
Hands-on experience with API gateways and API-related technologies
Good understanding of the Microsoft Azure technology stack
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders proactively
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Experience working closely with development and IT teams
Ability to document complex business processes and data mappings
Experience in project scope definition and management
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
English communication skills at B2+ level or above
