In this strategic role, you will act as a senior advisor, ensuring that enterprise-level server architectures are built with a Security-by-Design philosophy and maintained against the world’s most rigorous security benchmarks.

 About the Role: Advanced Server Hardening & Advisory

This role is for a technical veteran who understands the nuances of kernel-level security and cross-platform integration. You will lead the creation of Security Configuration Documents (SCD) and influence the organization’s overarching infrastructure security strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Advisory & Policy: Develop and maintain security policies for Linux/Unix/Solaris/AIX based on CIS benchmarks, OEM guidelines, and NVD standards.

• Security by Design: Partner with platform engineering teams during the architectural design phase to ensure proactive security integration.

• Proactive Vulnerability Management: Enhance the security posture by addressing vulnerabilities published by OEMs and agencies like CERT.

• Incident Management: Lead corrective and preventive actions during security incidents and provide threat-landscape-based guidance.

• Standards Development: Create platform security standards and guide solution designs to meet strict corporate and banking security requirements.

• Monitoring & Metrics: Strategize high- and low-level monitoring mechanisms and track the maturity of security technologies through advanced metrics.

 Requirements & Technical Expertise

We are seeking a specialist who combines deep hands-on server administration with a high-level security mindset.

Technical Skills:

• Non-Windows Mastery: Extensive experience in the administration and security of Linux, Unix, Solaris, and AIX.

• Security Frameworks: Strong understanding of cryptographic controls, authentication mechanisms (LDAP, Directory Services), and networking.

• Hardening Expertise: Proficiency in developing and implementing Security Configuration Documents (SCD).

• Integration Skills: Ability to handle inter-technology and inter-OEM integrations from a security perspective.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in CS, IT, Cybersecurity, or Electronics. Alternatively, an MCA or M.Tech in Cyber/Information Security.

• Preferred Certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Server+, or Linux Professional Certification (LPIC).
