Who You Are

SailPoint is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst (Tableau) who is eager to grow, learn, and make an impact. You’re someone who thrives in collaborative environments and can balance analytical precision with creative design. You love data, but you also understand the story it tells — and how to communicate it visually to business stakeholders.

You’ve worked with data analytics teams and understand how to translate complex business questions into meaningful dashboards, metrics, and insights. You are also an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with peers at all levels to meet tight deadlines and deliver impactful results.

Your Role at SailPoint

As a Data Analyst on the Professional Services team, you’ll play a key role in connecting data insights with strategic business outcomes. You’ll partner with various teams across SailPoint to design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that help guide decision-making and improve performance.

Your role will combine technical expertise, visual design, and business collaboration. You’ll not only ensure data accuracy and reliability but also present it through engaging, user-friendly dashboards that make analytics accessible to everyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive Tableau and Salesforce dashboards that drive strategic insights.

  • Data Storytelling: Use visual design principles, UX/UI concepts, and storytelling techniques to make data meaningful and actionable.

  • Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and develop solutions that address business challenges.

  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reporting platforms.

  • Performance Monitoring: Optimize the performance of Tableau dashboards and underlying data sources.

  • Training & Enablement: Conduct training sessions to improve data literacy across teams and empower others to use Tableau effectively.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of trends in data visualization and analytics to enhance SailPoint’s reporting capabilities.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Proven expertise in Tableau, SQL, and Excel/SmartSheets.

  • Strong understanding of visual design, color theory, and UX/UI principles.

  • A portfolio or examples of dashboards that demonstrate both analytical rigor and creative design.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights in simple, engaging ways.

  • A proactive mindset — taking ownership of projects, meeting deadlines, and continuously seeking improvement.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and relevant Tableau certifications.

SailPoint sets every new team member up for success through a structured onboarding journey:

  • First 30 Days: Complete SailPoint Bootcamp, learn about the company’s mission, culture, and data environment. Meet key stakeholders and review existing dashboards and workflows.

  • 60 Days: Take ownership of dashboards, refine existing reports, and start building new ones. Identify areas for automation and process optimization.

  • 90 Days: Lead new dashboard projects, automate recurring workflows, and conduct Tableau training for team members — setting the foundation for long-term success.
