The Role: Mechanical Planning Engineer

Are you a proactive engineer with a passion for mechanical planning, coordination, and technical innovation? NAFFCO is looking for a Mechanical Planning Engineer to serve as a pivotal link between design, production, and delivery.

In this role, you won’t just manage schedules; you will enable the seamless execution of complex mechanical engineering projects. Your ability to combine technical expertise with persuasive communication and strategic problem-solvingwill be essential in driving business success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Project Management

• Strategic Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans using software like MS Project or Primavera P6.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Align priorities between engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure a unified project lifecycle.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the technical point of contact for clients to clarify specifications and secure approvals.

• Performance Monitoring: Track project milestones, resolve scheduling conflicts, and implement corrective actions for any delays.

• Resource Optimization: Document and adjust resource allocation to maintain peak efficiency despite shifting project scopes.

• Risk Mitigation: Facilitate comprehensive risk assessments to ensure safety and project continuity.

• Sales Support: Provide technical input for proposals, including high-level presentations and client consultations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who balances analytical rigor with effective “selling skills”—the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Technical Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.

• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, contracts, and specifications.

• Expertise in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).

Experience & Education

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Experience: Proven track record in planning or coordination roles within the mechanical, manufacturing, or construction sectors.

• Methodology: Familiarity with modern project management frameworks (Agile, Lean, or Waterfall).
