The Role: Mechanical Engineer (MEP Construction)
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our site supervision team. You will assist the MEP Lead and Resident Engineer (RE) in administering day-to-day operational functions on-site. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between design intent and physical execution, ensuring that all mechanical services meet strict international codes, standards, and client specifications.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Inspection: Oversee all mechanical work, performing daily Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR) to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Technical Review: Review contractor shop drawings, material proposals, and installation method statements against tender drawings and specified performance requirements.

Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Participate in the review and approval of all submittals, document non-conformance, and assist in determining appropriate resolutions.

Testing & Commissioning: Review contractor testing and commissioning (T&C) methods, schedules, and results to ensure system readiness.

Stakeholder Interface: Coordinate with utility authorities for connections and interface with public stakeholders to mitigate construction impacts.

Team Leadership: Oversee junior engineers and inspectors, ensuring site safety (HSE) protocols are followed and work is executed to high standards.

Project Close-out: Undertake final project snagging, prepare defect lists, and review Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Technical Interpretation: Ability to interpret complex discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure correct technical execution.

Communication: Strong liaison skills to communicate the local action plan and provide technical advice to the Project Manager.
