Flex Careers: Senior Analyst – GBS Master Data Management (Chennai)

Our Global Business Services (GBS) team in Chennai is the engine room of our global supply chain, and we are looking for a Senior Analyst – MDM to join our extraordinary team.
In this role, you aren’t just managing data; you are driving sourcing strategies, optimising material margins, and influencing global pricing for Fortune 500 clients.
The Role: Strategic Financial & Data Governance
As a Senior Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of Finance and Global Procurement. You will be responsible for the accuracy of master data that dictates global purchasing power and material financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Pricing Strategy: Drive material quotations and influence customers to utilise Flex-preferred suppliers.

Financial Performance: Track Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and initiate corrective action plans to improve gross material margins.

Contract Management: Manage regional supplier negotiations, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and regional pricing agreements.

Inventory Optimisation: Implement strategies for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and mitigate shortages or excess inventory on hand.

Cost Recovery: Drive reconciliation processes with customers regarding freight charges, carrying costs, and Obsolete Inventory (E&O).

Supplier Relations: Maintain and measure supplier relationships through quarterly scorecards and performance data.
Your Professional Success Profile
We are seeking an analytical powerhouse with a deep understanding of the electronics manufacturing landscape.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Finance, Materials Sourcing, Commodity Management, or Supply Chain.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronic component markets, price trends, and cost accounting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in office software, specifically advanced spreadsheets (Excel) and database systems for data entry and analysis.

Domain Expertise: Thorough understanding of the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process.
