The Role: Lead Data Scientist (Strategic Engagements)

We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to spearhead engagement efforts for large-scale Government Implementation Programs and Aviation digital transformations. In this high-visibility role, you will bridge the gap between complex business problems and cutting-edge AI solutions.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end data science lifecycle—from initial diagnosis and solution design to full-scale deployment in highly regulated environments.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Engagement Leadership: Lead all stages of data science projects, including problem definition, diagnosis, solution development, and deployment.

• Architecture & Design: Create detailed technical designs, AI architectures, and process artifacts to ensure scalable and robust solutions.

• Stakeholder Management: Connect with senior client business and IT stakeholders to demonstrate thought leadership in data science and industry domains.

• Domain Excellence: Apply deep knowledge of Aviation and Government business processes to conduct Fit/GAP analysis and lead business workshops.

• Governance & Compliance: Navigate highly regulated environments by adhering to release governance and utilising incident management tools.

• Continuous Innovation: Contribute to Infosys Centres of Excellence (COEs) and unit-level strategic initiatives.

💪 Required Skills & Experience

• Analytics Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of the Data Analytics module and deep understanding of Data Warehousing/BI/AI solutions.

• Industry Domain: Proven experience in the Airlines industry or with Government organisations.

• Methodology: Thorough understanding of Agile and the ability to drive Business Process workshops.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working in regulated environments with a solid grasp of release governance.

• Problem Solving: Ability to translate abstract business requirements into concrete data science roadmaps.
