The Role: Java Full Stack Developer

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be a “Player” across our entire ecosystem, owning features from user-facing Next.js components to secure, transactional Spring Boot microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions using modern front-end and back-end web frameworks.

• Agile Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional business units and product teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

• System Optimisation: Maintain, refactor, and enhance existing web applications to maximise speed, scalability, and security.

• Quality & Integrity: Ensure absolute code quality through rigorous unit testing, peer reviews, debugging, and software development best practices.

• Full Stack Integration: Build fluid user interfaces and tie them seamlessly to efficient relational databases via high-performance REST APIs.

Technical Architecture & Stack

You will actively work within a modern, cloud-adjacent tech stack structured around the following layers:

• Frontend Ecosystem: JavaScript, TypeScript, Next.js, React.js, Tailwind CSS, and state management/data fetching with Axios or SWR.

• Backend Architecture: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and the design of robust RESTful web services.

• Data Tier: PostgreSQL (Relational Database Management System).

• Core Engineering Competencies: Git Version Control, API Design, and software testing practices.

Highly Valued Bonus Skills:

• Implementation of advanced API design concepts like server-side pagination, sorting, and filtering.

• State-of-the-art security patterns, specifically JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication.

• Containerization with Docker and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
