The Role: Mastering Credit Risk Exposure
In this role, you will assume coverage of a high-stakes portfolio, ensuring that J.P. Morgan’s risk appetite is balanced with its global business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients within the banking and insurance space, grading and reviewing credit risk exposures.

Financial Monitoring: Track financial performance updates and macroeconomic events that impact your assigned counterparties.

Credit Analysis: Produce concise, insightful credit memos and articulate clear recommendations for credit decisions to senior officers.

Due Diligence: Lead the onboarding process for new clients and perform deep-dive reviews for existing ones.

Transaction Support: Analyse and support the approval process for structured derivatives and complex lending requests.

Process Innovation: Participate in department-level projects to drive efficiencies and improve risk monitoring metrics.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to navigate and interpret complex financial statements of financial institutions (Banks & Insurances).

A broad understanding of macroeconomic factors and their impact on the financial sector.

Basic knowledge of derivatives and lending products.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present credit recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Credit Risk department.

Strong familiarity with the business models of global financial institutions.
