Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • 10th Standard pass certificate (SSE) with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized board.

  • Must have studied the local language up to 10th Standard. Special provisions for Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, and Sikkim.

Desirable Skills for BPM Posts:

  • Ability to work in rural areas.

  • Capability to use smartphones or computers.

  • Must arrange accommodation for running the Branch Post Office.


Salary & Benefits

GDS are paid via Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) with 3% annual increment.

  • BPM: ₹12,000–₹29,380/month

  • ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000–₹24,470/month

Additional Benefits:

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting is based on a system-generated merit list of 10th standard marks.

  • Tie-breaker criteria: DOB (older first), category, and gender.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed via SMS and email.

  • Physical verification of documents is required before issuing the provisional offer.

  • Candidates must complete pre-engagement formalities within 30 days, including basic training for 3 days (for BPM).

Steps to Apply:

  1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) with your mobile & email.

  2. Log in using registration credentials.

  3. Fill personal, educational, division, and post preference details.

  4. Upload recent photo (30–100 KB) and signature (20–100 KB).

  5. Pay the application fee (if applicable).

  6. Submit the application before 16 February 2026, 5:00 PM.

Candidates can apply for multiple posts in one division only. Preference order will be considered for final allotment.


Important Instructions

  • Only one registration per candidate is allowed.

  • Applications with incorrect or incomplete details will be rejected.

  • GDS are not regular government employees; they work 4–5 hours/day.

  • BPM candidates must arrange their own accommodation.

  • The Department may modify, cancel, or revise vacancies at any time.
