The Role: Lead Developer (Java, Spring Boot & AWS)

Are you a technical leader who excels at both building robust applications and solving complex production challenges? Vy Systems is seeking a Lead Java Developer with a strong background in L2/L3 Support to join our global team.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level application development and high-stakes production stability. You’ll leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to maintain the integrity of our AI-ready platforms while leading offshore and onsite support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Leadership: Lead the development and optimization of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

• Data Engineering: Craft and optimize complex SQL queries; experience with Apache Spark is a significant advantage for handling large-scale data processing.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and integrate data solutions using AWS services, specifically Redshift and Aurora.

• Production Excellence: Provide expert L2/L3 Support, coordinating between onsite and offshore teams to resolve critical incidents and ensure system reliability.

• Polyglot Flexibility: Utilize Python where necessary to streamline workflows or integrate with modern data stacks.

• SLA Management: Ensure all managed services meet rigorous performance and security standards.

Core Technical Requirements

• Java Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Database & Big Data: Strong SQL skills are mandatory. Experience with Spark is highly preferred.

• Cloud Mastery: Hands-on experience with AWS (Redshift, Aurora, etc.).

• Support Background: Proven experience in L2/L3 Support environments, managing complex production issues in a lead capacity.

• Programming Versatility: Professional experience or familiarity with Python.
