Role Scope & Technical Architecture

The Back-End Developer Intern joins the IBM FlashSystem engineering team in Hursley, contributing to resilient, low-latency, and high-throughput enterprise data storage systems:

Core Responsibilities

  • Component-Level Software Development: Design, code, and unit-test back-end components for enterprise storage software (IBM Storage Virtualize / FlashSystem).

  • Defect Resolution & Debugging: Investigate, debug, and design code fixes for customer-reported issues in complex storage systems.

  • CI/CD & Automation Integration: Contribute to automated build, test, and continuous integration pipelines to enforce software quality.

  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement alongside senior mentors and systems engineers.
