The Role: Senior Account Executive
As a Senior Account Executive, you are a field-based sales leader responsible for the retention and growth of Gartner’s most significant enterprise accounts. You will act as a strategic consultant to C-level executives, developing enterprise-wide strategies that maximize the value of Gartner’s research and technology insights.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Sales

Revenue Ownership: Manage a territory of major client accounts with a quota responsibility of $800,000+ in contract value.

C-Suite Consulting: Build and maintain deep relationships with CEOs, CIOs, and other senior leaders to drive outcome-based results.

Strategic Planning: Execute Gartner’s proven sales methodology to master account planning and territory management.

Retention & Growth: Drive customer satisfaction to ensure high retention rates while identifying opportunities for contract expansion and cross-selling.

Forecast Accuracy: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts with high precision.

What You Will Need

Proven Track Record: 8–15 years of consultative sales experience, preferably in high-tech (software, services, or consulting).

Executive Presence: Demonstrable success in building C-level relationships within large, complex organizations.

Sales Acumen: Mastery of the full sales life cycle and ability to manage complex sales processes.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is highly desired.
