This role is a full-time, remote internship with Office Solution AI Labs (an Authorised Microsoft Partner). It focuses on building, maintaining, and optimising interactive Power BI dashboards, performing data modelling, and developing ETL pipelines for global clients across the US, UK, Europe, and Dubai.
Core Responsibilities
  • Dashboard & Report Development: Design clear, visually effective dashboards and interactive reports based on business requirements.
  • Data Modelling & Engineering: Connect to database sources, build star/snowflake schemas, and define fact and dimension tables.
  • Data Transformation (ETL): Clean, shape, and load data using Power Query and SQL; construct measures and calculated columns via DAX.
  • Quality & Performance: Test dashboard performance, validate metric accuracy, troubleshoot report errors, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Documentation: Document data sources, transformation rules, and report architectures.
Technical Skills Required
Area Specific Skill Sets
Primary BI Tools Power BI, Power Query, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
Database & ETL SQL (querying & data manipulation), Data Warehousing concepts (Fact/Dimension tables)
Visualization & Custom Tools Basic understanding of layout/UX design (exposure to D3.js, React, or TypeScript is a plus)
Core Competencies Data modeling, data cleaning, trend identification, performance optimization
Candidate Eligibility & Mindset
  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience Level: Entry-level / Intern; hands-on academic projects or personal portfolios utilising SQL and Power BI are acceptable.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
