π About the Role – HR Generalist
As a Human Resource Generalist at Birdeye, you will serve as the primary HR point of contact for India-based teams across Sales, Customer Success, and Technical Support. These teams directly interact with global customers and operate in alignment with U.S. time zones.
The role blends strategic HR partnership with hands-on execution across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive employee experience while supporting business goals.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities – HR Generalist
π€ HR Business Partnership
Act as the main HR advisor for customer-facing teams in India. Address employee relations issues, coach managers, and drive people-focused solutions aligned with business objectives.
π Employee Lifecycle Management
Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, career progression, and employee development initiatives.
π HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain accurate HR data and systems, support payroll and benefits administration, and ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.
π― Talent Acquisition Support
Partner with the recruiting team to forecast hiring needs, support workforce planning, and ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires.
π Culture & Engagement
Lead employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives that promote inclusion, motivation, and long-term retention.
π Insights & Continuous Improvement
Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends and recommend improvements that enhance team effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
β Requirements & Qualifications – HR Generalist

Experience: Minimum 5+ years in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role (experience in SaaS or high-growth tech companies preferred).

Global Team Support: Proven experience supporting teams working in U.S. or international time zones.

Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian employment laws, labor regulations, and statutory compliance.

Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work U.S. shifts on a regular basis.

Education: Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certifications: SHRM, PHR, or equivalent HR certifications are an advantage.

Core Skills: Excellent communication, relationship management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
