🧠 About the Role – Data Engineer

Cozzerra is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable, production-grade data pipelines using Python and AWS technologies.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring data quality, performance, and scalability across our systems — collaborating closely with the Nexio  team.

This is a great opportunity to work in a modern, remote-first environment with a strong focus on cloud data architecture and distributed processing.

🧰 Tech Stack

• Languages / Runtime: Python 3.11, SQL

• Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS)

• Workflow Orchestration: Prefect

• Parallel Task Runner: Ray

• Data Storage & Processing: AWS Aurora RDS, PostgreSQL (cached storage), S3 buckets

• CI/CD: Bitbucket using Helm chart and Terraform

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, Python-based ETL pipelines.

• Design and optimize SQL models and transformations for analytics and reporting.

• Implement Prefect workflows and integrate with Ray for distributed computation.

• Work with AWS services (S3, RDS, EKS) for ingestion, orchestration, and storage.

• Collaborate with the Nexio Data Engineering team to ensure accuracy, auditability, and performance.

🌟 Preferred Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience with Prefect, Ray, or similar orchestration/distributed compute tools.

• Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem (S3, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes/EKS).

• Knowledge of ETL best practices and data quality frameworks.
