Job Summary

Cision is seeking a Data Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating, managing, and analyzing data that forms the backbone of Cision’s reporting deliverables. You will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across projects while supporting the coding and report creation process through all stages.

As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with senior analysts, team leads, and junior coding teams to maintain high-quality standards and meet strict delivery timelines. Your work will directly support client-facing reports, insights, and analytics that help brands make informed communication and marketing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure coding and analysis production is consistent, accurate, and aligned with established quality standards and delivery timelines

  • Track performance metrics and enforce best practices to maintain high-quality outputs

  • Provide oversight and guidance to junior coding teams, offering constructive feedback and supporting skill development

  • Manage content searches and data uploading processes while prioritizing coding tasks efficiently

  • Perform regular data quality checks and audits, ensuring data integrity across projects

  • Develop a strong understanding of project coding structures and data workflows

  • Utilize internal tools and data flow knowledge to troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies

  • Communicate regularly with managers to report progress, flag challenges, and align on priorities

  • Use established reporting templates and tools to contribute to assigned reports

  • Generate charts, visualizations, and data summaries using Excel and PowerPoint

  • Research and write clear, insightful qualitative analysis to support quantitative findings

  • Take ownership of initial data exports and assist with charting and report production

  • Provide daily support to Senior Analysts and Team Leads, including data verification, contact management, and report preparation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant experience in data coding, query writing, or analysis

  • Strong background in professional writing, reporting, or data-driven storytelling

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
