Freelance ELA Content Writer (Grades 6–12) | Remote | IXL Learning

IXL Learning, a leader in personalised education technology used by millions worldwide, is seeking creative and motivated writers to develop engaging English Language Arts (ELA) content for grades 6–12. This is a remote, freelance (1099) consulting role for three months, with the possibility of extension.

What You’ll Do

Research topics of interest for middle and high school students.
Write sentences, paragraphs, and reading passages for online activities.
Develop comprehension and writer’s craft questions with clear explanations.
Follow The Chicago Manual of Style and in-house guidelines.
Revise and improve content based on editorial feedback.

What We’re Looking For

BA/BS in English, Creative Writing, or related field.
Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
Strong research and problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Professional writing experience (educational or YA content preferred).
Teaching or education experience a plus.
