Position: Finance Executive
Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 a year
Location: Wilmslow

The Department
The main focus of the Finance Department is to provide financial management to the business. This includes financial accounting, financial controls, invoicing, credit control, Profit & Loss and cashflow reporting, forecasting and analysis.
The Purpose of the Role
The Financial Executive is to achieve exceptionally high standards of quality and productivity, supporting the team to ensure that Month End deadlines are met with a high level of accuracy. This will involve productively processing financial data on a day to day basis in order to meet both financial and regulatory requirements; building relations with all supplies and customers in order to ensure the delivery of a high level of customer services and to undertake purchase and sales ledger processing, administrative and other finance related duties enabling the smooth running of the finance department.
Key Accountabilities
- To efficiently and accurately register data in a timely manner
- To liaise with other companies, internal departments and employees as appropriate in order to minimise the inconvenience to the customer and maximise the efficiency of the Finance Department
- To ensure our Clients and Business Partners are provided with regular and timely updates
- To ensure the in-house system is updated with information from our Clients and Business Partners
- To assist with all financial enquiries in an efficient and precise manner
- Achieve all monthly SLA and KPI targets
- To assist in the effective credit control of the debtors ledger and accounts reconciliations on purchase ledger
- Develop a knowledge of the internal workings of the business and an understanding of your role within it
- Always work within the parameters of the regulatory framework
- To carry out ad-hoc administrative duties to support the department and business where required
- Deal with daily banking/BACS requirements
- To promote the image of the company at all times through the provision of the highest level of customer service
- To comply with all risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge, & Experience
- Good commercial acumen and approach
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Confident telephone techniques
- Customer service/client focus skills
- Organisation skills and the ability to be pro-active
- Results driven
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to process high volumes
- Strong all around IT skills with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel knowledge which should be excellent (pivot tables, ‘vlookup’ as a minimum and macro knowledge would be advantageous but not essential)
- Report Analysis would be advantageous
- Previous experience with Sage 200 would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger processes (dependent on level)
- The ability to deal with daily banking/BACS requirements
- Month End bank reconciliations, producing reports (dependent on level)
- Previous experience of working in a finance team for a minimum of one year
- Knowledge of all other general financial administrative tasks
- A team player that can build relationships at all levels
