General Description

Farmers Bank & Trust is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support our Marketing Department with social media, electronic marketing, community events, advertising, and administrative tasks. This role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented professional looking to grow in a collaborative banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with social media management, email marketing, and electronic marketing displays according to daily content calendars.

  • Support the Blue Crew brand ambassador team in preparing for bank and community events.

  • Ensure brand consistency and tone across all marketing channels.

  • Update and maintain marketing collateral materials, website content, and location listings.

  • Proofread, revise, and write copy for collateral, emails, and web content.

  • Collect and organize data for monthly marketing reports, research, and planning.

  • Perform administrative tasks: process mail, reconcile invoices, prepare expense reports, file and scan documents.

  • Assist with photo, video, social media, and design projects as needed.

  • Help manage employee advocacy and engagement platforms and reward redemptions.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep marketing efforts relevant and effective.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience (5+ years marketing-related).

  • 12–18 months of related marketing experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of web editing, graphic design, social media, and communications.

  • Banking experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Tech-oriented mindset with punctuality and professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
