The Role: Data Science Consultant (Hi-Tech Practice)

We are seeking a high-performing Data Science Consultant (Level 9 – Team Lead) to join our S&C Global Network. This role is dedicated to our Hi-Tech practice, where you will drive strategic transformations for industries including semiconductors, medical technology, and enterprise tech.

You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, leveraging Generative AI and advanced analytics to optimise supply chains, enhance customer experience, and pioneer connected products.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Advisory: Provide data-driven recommendations and market research to enhance business performance for global Hi-Tech leaders.

• GenAI Innovation: Design and implement GenAI-powered solutions using contextual prompt engineering and tuning to solve complex business challenges.

• End-to-End Modelling: Develop machine learning models in Python, specialising in NLP and Computer Vision for predictive maintenance and production optimisation.

• Systems Integration: Utilise expertise in PLM, ERP, and CRM systems to integrate disparate data sources into seamless AI ecosystems.

• Architectural Guidance: Provide technical leadership to scale AI systems on cloud platforms, ensuring high performance and security.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with solution architects and stakeholders to deploy models into production-ready environments.

💪 What You’ll Need (Professional & Technical Skills)

• Domain Expertise: Proven track record in developing AI models for semiconductors, consumer tech, or med-tech.

• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in NLP and Computer Vision.

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure or GCP is preferred; familiarity with AWS is highly valued.

• AI/LLM Exposure: Familiarity with Llama 2, Claude, or Hugging Face for prompt tuning and engineering.

• Business Acumen: Ability to leverage Design Thinking and business process optimisation to drive value.

• Integration Knowledge: Understanding of how AI interacts with enterprise systems like SAP (ERP) or Salesforce (CRM).
